I didn't get enough sleep last night because I stayed up too late waiting for Greg to get home from work. When I don't get enough sleep, I usually get anxiety, so this morning wasn't the greatest. I eventually managed to get ahold of myself, thank God, because I really didn't feel like dealing with that crap today!
Vada had her 12 month checkup this afternoon. At 19.4lbs and 29.5 inches long, she is still trending in the 25th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height - tall and skinny just like her dad! I hope she is at least 5'8'' :)

The doctor said Vada is doing great! I cut her off from the bottle after her birthday, and have been giving her milk in a sippy cup since then, which she isn't very enthusiastic about. She knows how to use the sippy, because she will drink water from it, but just doesn't seem to like milk. Doc said taking the bottle away at one year is a good move, and not to worry about the milk. Eventually she will drink it, but it will probably just take some getting used to since she's been drinking the same thing for her entire life and now I'm changing it up on her. She has seven teeth right now, with her eighth one about to pop through any second. Next come the molars, and he said although it will be a little while, he could feel them already starting to come in!
Greg came with us to the appointment, (he tries to go to as many as he can, which is really nice) so we picked up some lunch after we left the doctors. We had a coupon for Quiznos, buy one get one free. Luckily mine was free because it was disgusting. I just don't like subs, they always taste gross to me. Blah.
I did thirty minutes on the elliptical at the Y today and left Vada in Child Watch. I put her down standing up by some toys and she didn't even care that I left, which was amazing. The girl watching her said she cried half the time she was in there though, I guess she freaked out a little bit once she realized that I was gone. But, by the time I was finished and went back in there to get her, she was sitting on the floor playing with some toys like a nice little girl! I was very impressed. She also played on the floor with the other babies at the babysitter's the other day, which was a first. This decrease in separation / stranger anxiety makes me VERY happy, to say the least. I think she has a lot more confidence now that she is more mobile, (pulling up and cruising along the walls and furniture.)
The rest of my day was spent cleaning... laundry, vacuuming, dusting, tidying, and dishes. By the end of this weekend, my goal is to have every single room in this house spotless and every single item exactly where it belongs, even if it only lasts for 5 minutes. I'll let you know how that goes ;)
Oh yea, here are my new shoesies and rug. I love them both.

Time to veg out on the sofa and watch my stories.
